Jimmy David Hutto Obituary
Jimmy David Hutto, 77, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born on April 28, 1948, in Clarendon Texas. Jimmy later made his home in Fort Worth, where he built a life centered around family, laughter, and the things he loved most.
Jimmy worked as a machinist at Associated Springs until his retirement in early 2000s. He took great pride in his work, but nothing in his life meant more to him than his family. He was a proud father to Jimmy (Robyn) Hutto, Kelly (Lauren) Hutto, and Michael (Lauren) Hutto. Being “Dad” was one of his greatest joys, but being “Grandpa” was his true masterpiece. He adored his grandchildren — Brooklyn, Kayla, Cassie, Nathan, Haylan, and Alyssa — and was blessed with several great-grandchildren as well. His love for them was constant, loud, and unwavering.
Jimmy had a passion for life that showed in everything he did. He loved fishing, hot rods, riding his motorcycles, and drag racing. He coached Michael in soccer and cherished the time spent on the field just as much as the victories. He loved dogs, good company, and telling stories — often ones that grew just a little better each time they were told.
Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, Jimmy was a true jokester who could light up a room. He never met a stranger and was especially known for his love of Dr Pepper. In recent years, he became somewhat of a celebrity at Emerald Hills Assisted Living, where his personality, charm, and stories made him a favorite among staff and residents alike.
Jimmy will be remembered for his laughter, his stories, his fierce love for his family, and the way he made ordinary days feel special. His legacy lives on in the family he adored and the memories they will carry forever.
A service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held Saturday, March 14th at 2:00 PM at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, with a celebration of life to follow in Godley.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
