Jesse Allen Gadberry

Jess Gadberry, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather,  proud American and friend to so many was received into Glory on Monday, May 17, 2021 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was 87 years old.

Jess was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie Coy and Ada Ruth Gadberry, his sister Judy Harrington Gadberry and his great granddaughter Lila Helene Culp. 

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lu Stovall Gadberry, daughters Delynn Culp and son in law Greg of Glen Rose, TX; Lisa Coday and son in law Tim of Columbia, MO; grandchildren Rebekah York & husband Spencer of Springfield, MO, Miriam Stevens & husband Jason of Cleburne, TX, Justin Hickerson, Patrick Hickerson & wife Michelle, Collin Hickerson all from Columbia, MO, David Culp Jr. And wife Nichole of Granbury, TX; and 7 great grandchildren: Madelynn, Mason, Luke, Mc Kinley, Elijah and Jackson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Jess served his country well and was proud veteran of the Army National Guard and The Air Force. He was known for his gregarious, larger than life personality; his amazing story telling; his patriotism; his love of the beach; his generosity to all, his passionate love for his family and his never wavering faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Memorial service will be held Monday, June 7th with visitation at 10 AM, service at 11 AM at Forrest Ridge Funeral Home, North Richland Hills.  Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made in Jess's honor to the American Heart Association or The Alzheimer's Association of America.
