In the early hours of February 22, 2021 Jane Tywater passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Jane was a proud & loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & dear friend. Jane & her twin; Jimmy were born on July 22, 1936 to John L. and Goldie Kennedy in Oklahoma City, OK. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Sharon Kennedy, Patricia Hatcher, Jacqueline & husband; Wayne Ramsey, Dolores Bird, twin-brother Jimmy & wife; Belle, Bill & wife; Teresa, Johnny & wife; Wanda, grandson; Michael Methner (Little Mike), honorary sister & lifelong friend; Mary Methner.
Jane; the youngest of 8 children was raised in Orange TX. Jane was a life-long devoted Catholic; she attended St. Mary’s High School & was very active in social-clubs of the times. Having the gift of easy conversation, good sportsmanship and heart-felt compassion; Jane was considered a friend to all. During her early years she found herself cheering for the HS Sports Team, which led this 4’11 dynamo to becoming a forward on the Varsity Basketball team. She joined the Annual Staff, was involved in Journalism, Student Council and eventually was elected Class-President her Senior Year. Jane married her HS sweetheart Jack Methner. Jane was a devoted mother who took great pride in the rearing of their 5children. The young family moved to several states over the years, eventually settling in Hurst, TX.
Later in life Jane furthered her education @ TCJC w/ numerous classes and made the Dean’s List. She then worked for Lawrence D. White Architecture firm of FTW and was eventually introduced to her loving husband; Ken Tywater by neighbors & friends; Buster & Lucille in 1985. It was a fast courtship but lasting romance that spanned a life-time of 35 years.
Jane leaves her great love and husband; Ken Tywater. Their beloved children: Patricia Methner, John P. Methner II, Dr. Michael & Lisa Methner, Stephanie Seegar and Kevin Methner, Beverly & Donald Mitchell, Kenneth & Judy Tywater, Doug & Terri Tywater. Grandchildren: Chase Marney, Kendra Marney, Melody Methner, Kennedy Methner, Eric & Carrie Meyer, Jason & Stephanie Meyer and John Meyer, Jennifer Tywater, Sarah & Keith Barnhart, plus 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews, brother-in-law; Preacher Bird, sister-in-laws; Judy Shockley, Barbra Methner and many life-long friends.

Due to the concerns of COVID-19; Jane’s Mass and Services are, respectively, restricted to immediate family. The mass & services may be viewed on St. Michael’s Facebook page and flowers @ the service: St. Michael’s Catholic Church @ 3713 E Harwood Rd, Bedford, TX 76021 on March 8th. After COVID constraints have lessened; we will look forward to sharing the Celebration of Jane’s life and remembering her with more joy & less grief.
