Jane Myrick Matteson

Jane Myrick Dowlen Matteson was born on July 24th, 1932 to Juanita and F.B. Dowlen in Ft Worth TX.  Jane graduated from Arlington Heights High school in 1950 and attended TCU from 1950-1951. While serving coffee in 1951 after Easter Sunday service she met Robert Matteson a World War II veteran and young engineer.  Bob and Jane married April 18th, 1952 and raised four children together.  Jane was always a wonderful hostess and enjoyed cooking and entertaining with her friends and family. She served her church and was active in many community activities.  Jane also enjoyed deer hunting with her husband.

Jane Matteson is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Clifford Matteson, Sr, Their four children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held at All Saint’s Episcopal Church 5001 Crestline Rd, Ft Worth TX 76107 on Thursday, May 27th at 1:00pm.  She will be interred at a future date at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Grand Prairie TX.
