James Paul Barrett

James Paul “Jim” Barrett, 88, of Bedford, TX passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 22, 2022. He was born October 6, 1933 in South Bend, IN, where he was lovingly raised by his grandparents. 

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Martha Barrett, daughters Paula Morley (Mike) of Kaufman, TX, Deborah Cameron of Greenville, OH, Julia Hendley (Frank) of Lampasas, TX and son Rick Finn (Page) of Flower Mound, TX. His beloved grandchildren include Tyler Sullivan (Sarah), Clay Carter, Parker Cameron, Holly Cameron, Trey Finn, Luke Finn and great-granddaughter Paisley Sullivan.

Jim was known for his big heart, generous spirit and love of life, family, music and food. He loved to laugh and have fun and wanted everyone to come along for the ride. He was a great storyteller and never met a stranger. He truly brought joy to all in his path.

The family would like to thank the hospice team including Dr. Tafel, Audrey, George, Cade, Agnes, Joyce, Rose, Rosemary and Beijie, for their devoted, tender and loving care.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10:30am at Hurst United Methodist Church, 521 W. Pipeline Road, Hurst, TX.
