Ina Bartel Obituary

Ina L. Bartel, age 91, of Keller Texas, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. She is now in the loving arms of her dear Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ina was born on February 20, 1930 to William I. and Gertrude Schroeder in rural Goessel, Kansas. She married Leroy G. Bartel on July 31,1949, who preceded her in death on July 24, 2011, one week shy of their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Ina attended Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas and started her career as a school teacher. Later she worked in administration both at that college and at Prairie View Hospital in Newton. Lee and Ina moved to the Dallas – Ft. Worth area in the 80’s, where they stayed through their final working years and retirement.

Ina was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an avid reader and loved almost every kind of book. In her later years, she really enjoyed playing games with friends and family, most notably Rummikub, Mexican Train dominos and the Thirteen card game.

Lee and Ina had three children, all surviving, Bradley (and wife Rhonda) Bartel of Dallas, TX, Brenda (and husband Bruce) Huckins of North Richland Hills, TX and Greg (and wife Cathy) Bartel of Newton, KS. Ina is also survived by her sister Delores Goering of Newton KS As well as five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three siblings and an infant child.
