Hiroko Fitzpatrick

Hiroko Liu Fitzpatrick passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 81. Hiroko was born in the Republic of China on June 3, 1941, to Liu Chun Shan and Huei Hwa Yoshida. She was a US Navy nurse who served her country proudly and rose in rank to Captain. On August 23, 1975, she married Francis J. Fitzpatrick, who also served his country in the US Navy.  Hiroko was spunky, friendly, and had a vibrant sense of humor. She was an adventurous spirit who enjoyed traveling the world. She was a spiritual person and her Christian faith was very important to her. She was deeply moved by the words and teachings Of Billy Graham whom she had the pleasure of meeting in Taiwan. In recent years Hiroko was cared for at the Ellery Arbor Retirement Home in Colleyville, TX where she was affectionately known as Chris. Friends of Hiroko are invited to celebrate her life at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in North Richland Hills, TX April 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Hiroko will be buried at the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA alongside her husband Frances at a later date. Hiroko is preceded in death by her husband Francis J. Fitzpatrick, father Liu Chun Shan, and mother Huei Hwa Yoshida. She is survived by family members living in Taiwan and those who cared for her.
