Harold Eugene Aman, a Navy veteran who served his country in World War II, passed away on March 4, 2021 at the age of 96. He was born December 7, 1924 in Sterling, Oklahoma and lived most of his life in North Texas. He met and married his wife, Helen Laverne Singleton, before shipping out to defend his country in the war in the Pacific. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked in the Aerospace industry at General Dynamics in Fort Worth for 34 years while raising three children.
During his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling, gardening, and playing dominoes with friends until her passing in 1998. He was a Master Mason in the Grand Lodge of Texas for over 50 years. He loved fishing, especially bass fishing, and lived and breathed Texas Rangers baseball. He was a great husband, father and grandfather who led his family with honor and love. His legacy is one of Christianity and all his children know God and have led their families the same.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnel Ross Aman and Hattie Lois Kelley, brother William Albert Aman, his loving wife of 54 years, Helen, and infant son Melvin Jay.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia Ann Phillips and husband Don; son Charles Arnel and wife Barbara; and son David Orlan. He is also survived by six loving granddaughters: Machelle Hamilton, Cathy Vanhoutan, Beth Mueller, Heather Lanz, Lyn Gilliam, and Lara Fernandes. He has many great-grandkids and great-great grandkids. He is survived by his sister Glenda Gellar and husband Burt.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life with a graveside service on March 15, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas
