In loving memory of Ernestine “Tina” Moore Carson who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 92 years three months and one day.
She was born in Westmoreland, W. VA and later moved to Columbus, Ohio where she met the love of her life James “Jim” G. Carson. They were married on November 9, 1948. Their only child Karen was born on November 27, 1949. They lived in Ohio until 1956 when they decided to move to the HEB area. They remained married for 68 years until Jim’s death on July 26, 2016.
Tina was a licensed cosmetologist and a cosmetology instructor. She owned her own salon for many years and substituted at Birdville ISD and HEB ISD in the School of Cosmetology.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents Arbie and Louella Moore, her beloved husband Jim, 8 siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Tina was the last living and youngest girl of the family.
She is survived by her daughter Karen Carson-Engers; nephew, Larry Dale Hamilton; niece, Carolyn Sue Hamilton Tosh; niece, Judy Smith Kauffer; nephew, Rex Smith; nephew, Jerry Smith; niece, Marsha Carson Dormire; niece, Judy Carson Peoples; nephew, Donald Carson, Jr. and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Tina was a long-time member of Bethesda Community Church and was under the tutelage of Pastor Des Evans, deceased and presently J. Daniel Smith. Thanks go out to the church and pastoral staff, members and good friends for attention and prayers throughout the years.
Tina will be laid to rest at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, TX next to her husband. Because of COVID a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
