Erma Jean “Tinkie” Maroney, 91 of North Richland Hills, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 in North Richland Hills. She was born to the late Claude T. Vessels and Beulah Mae Willingham Vessels on November 2, 1928 in Levelland, Texas.
Tinkie enjoyed quilting and sewing, reading, and watching the Spurs play basketball. Her passion in life was working and mentoring teenage girls. Before settling in North Richland Hills, Tinkie also lived in Wichita Falls, Markham, Kerrville, Canyon Lake, and Red River, NM. She loved the Lord, attending church, and singing in the choir. She loved her church family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Most of all, she loved being with her family and friends. She leaves behind a great legacy to so many and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her children, Larry Maroney and his wife, Joyce; Randy Maroney and his wife, Sandi, Mark Maroney and his wife, Jeanette, Brad Maroney, and Jill Jackson and her husband, Billy; her grandchildren, Jason and Tracey Maroney, Judd and Sissy Maroney, Michael Maroney, Ben and Heather Maroney, John Mark and Angela Maroney, Jana and Michael Plemons, Justin and Jenica Maroney, Stephanie Embree, and Chase Embree; her great grandchildren, Dave, Tucker, Jackson, Parker, Cash, Charlotte (Charlie), Grant, Jake, Brock, Campbell, Claire, Carlee, Nolan and Blakely; she is also survived by many nephews, nieces, brothers and sister-in-law’s, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Beulah Vessels; her three brothers, Clinton, William Clay, and Claude Vessels, Jr.; and finally, but certainly not least, her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 58 years, Harold Maroney.
Services for Tinkie will be held at a later date.
