Emma was born and raised in Coamo, Puerto Rico and at a young age she was
a very caring and loving person, always willing to help others like raising her 4 siblings.
She enjoyed sewing, arts & crafts, and cooking, especially Puerto Rican food. One of
her most precious hobbies was collecting angel figurines and anything Mickey Mouse.
She was married to the love of her life, Jose Hernandez, who unfortunately
passed away back in 2015 from Leukemia. They created a beautiful family and it always
brought them great joy watching Alexander and Annie grow up to be strong and
independent people. Emma always made sure they had everything they needed, she
maintained a loving and safe environment for her family. After her grandson, Brice, was
born she made it her mission to make sure her Guapo knew the true meaning of
unconditional love. It always brought a big smile to her face watching Brice walk in her
house and run up to her yelling “Nani!”. She loved spending time with him.
Emma was nothing but shy, being the life of the party whether it be hitting the
dance floor or cracking jokes with her friends. She was a strong, brave and resilient
woman with a unique personality who will truly be missed by so many.
