Ellis Marie (McEntire) Patschke

Ellis Marie Carter Patschke, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 9, 2021 in her home surrounded by loved ones.  Ellis was born February 13, 1929 in Amarillo, TX to Vencen Wofford and Willie Mae McEntire. She graduated from Dumas High School in 1946. Ellis loved to dress up, dance, go to the family lake house, spend time with those she cherished, and play her piano and organ.  She was active for many years in the Lady Elks and volunteered her talents and creativity in nursing homes. Her greatest joy though was to be in the presence of her family. She would often be seen serving others, cooking, and holding the babies. She had a laugh and smile that could light up a room. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother VW McEntire, Jr., her first love Bill G. Carter, her husband Marvin Patschke, and great-granddaughter, Mylee Mae Hampton.  Her sister, Joyce Laverne Brown, and sister-in-law, Sandra Bebee, and her many great nieces and nephews will hold many sweet memories of her. She will be greatly missed by her children, Nancy Larmer and husband, Bob, Linda Pulattie and husband, Mike, Janet Lehrmann and husband, Mike, Greg Carter and wife, Molly. Nonnie was adored by her 12 grandchildren: Scheri Hogan (Chris), Tony Williams, Kristy Harden (Josh), Josh Pulattie (Abi), Amanda Webb (Jordan), Chelsea Hampton (Trey), Mallory Lehrmann, Karen Jimenez (James), Bryan Carter (Katie), Megan Huneycutt (Drew), Jessica Marie Jacobsen (Alex), and Jonny Carter (Hayley). Her legacy will continue with her great-grandchildren: Lars and Erik Hogan; Carter, Caleb, and Cannon Harden; Penelope Pulattie; Grayson, Maddox, and Adalyn Webb; Olivia, William, and Weston Ellis Hampton; Tatum and Oakley Carter; Hadley Huneycutt; Scarlett Jacobsen. Nonnie was excitedly anticipating the arrival of Heath Huneycutt and Mary and Mara Jacobsen. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, May 17th at 11 a.m. at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in North Richland Hills, Texas.
