Eleanor Doris (Ries) Regan

Eleanor Doris Ries Regan was born 12/10/26 in Watertown, South Dakota. She accepted her seat in heaven on February 5, 2021 at age 94. She married her high school sweetheart Cornelius “Neil” Regan in 1949 in Sterling, IL. They moved to Dallas, TX in 1965 where they raised their 2 children, Daniel Regan and Therese “Terri” Regan Patterson Scifres.
Eleanor was a member of St. Pius X Church where she worked in the church Sacristy and the church’s school cafeteria for many years. Neil and Eleanor retired to Athens, Tx in 1996 where she continued her Sacristy duties at St Edwards Catholic Church. Neil and Eleanor celebrated 64 years of marriage until Neil’s passing in 2013. In 2020 Eleanor moved to Keller, Tx to be closer to her daughter.
She was a very caring, giving, and a loving mother and wife. She devoted her life to her husband, children, and the Catholic Church.  She was a beautiful, remarkable woman who touched so many with her thoughtful, spirited and generous ways. She is survived by two sisters and one brother, her two children, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Her passing leaves a void here on earth that can never be filled but she is now in the arms of her Heavenly Father, husband, and siblings.
She will be dearly missed.
