DEWEY FRANKLIN DREW 11/9/1964-4/17/2020

Dewey Franklin Drew was born in Mineral Wells, Texas and died in Fort Worth, Texas. He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and antiques, also loved history, politics, and listening to country music and classic rock and roll.  Dewey graduated from Richland High School in 1983.  He went on and received his Bachelors degree with honors at the University of Phoenix in Arizona and was a member of the Honors Society.  Above all he enjoyed being around his family and loving his four-legged companion, Max.

Dewey is survived by his daughters, Nancy Lynn Drew and Madelyn Emily Zoe Jahnke; mother, Carla Nan Drew; brother, Joe Eric Drew and sister-in-law, Beatriz Drew; sister, Tamara Kay Campbell.  He also leaves to cherish his memory, his nieces, Erica, Anggelhy, and Anggelha; nephews, Josh, Cody, Cory and Aquiles. Dewey is preceded in death by his father, John Franklin Drew; son, Thomas Bradley Garza; nephew, Christopher Lee Campbell.

Visitation for Dewey will be held on Monday April 20th, 2020 from 6:00pm to 8:00 p.m. at the Forest Ridge Funeral Home Memorial Park Chapel.  A graveside service is scheduled for 12 Noon, Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells, Texas.  Mother Allison Liles and Deacon Tracy Middleton will be officiating the service.

The family would like to give thanks to JPS Health Network for their outstanding care.  Also, a very special thank you to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church; David Medina, Stan Paschal at Forest Ridge Funeral Home; and many friends and family.

Due to the current restrictions on social gatherings, only 10 people will be allowed at a time inside the funeral home, the rest are more than welcome to stay in the parking lot while practicing social distancing.  The family would like to thank everyone for all of their prayers.  If you are able, please wear a mask while attending visitation at the funeral home and also at the graveside service, thank you.
