Dennis Allen Lindell Obituary

Denny was born in Jamestown, New York in the summer of 1939.  His parents, John and Isabelle Lindell, were both born in Sweden and emigrated to the United States as young teens.  Denny was the baby of the family.  His older brother, Roger, was 14 when he was born, and his sister, Dolores Joann, was 10.  He was well acquainted with the nearby Chautauqua Lake area. When out on their boat, his father called him "Captain Denquist", a name that he never outgrew.  He was very active in athletics at Bemus Point High School as the quarterback on the football team and a pitcher on the baseball team.

When he was 12, he took a Greyhound bus to the suburbs of Kansas City to visit his sister and fell in love with the area.  Following two years of studying mechanical engineering at Bucknell, Denny decided on industrial engineering and returned to Kansas, where he graduated from Kansas State University.

In 1963 Denny married Eleanor Dyke, whom he met at KSU.  Her home in Kansas City allowed them to spend many happy holidays close to family.  Denny was a 1st Lieutenant in the Army and later was a salesman for the Trane A/C Company.  One son was born of the marriage, Jon Scott Lindell.

Denny remarried in 1974 to Susie Morgan.  They lived together in Oklahoma City for about four years and then moved to Fort Worth, TX where he began his career in real estate as a broker trainer for Century 21.  To that union he had two sons, Brent Allen Lindell and Phillip Ryan Lindell.

Denny passed away in Fort Worth on Monday, July 8th and his ashes will be interred at the Dallas - Ft Worth National Cemetery on Friday, August 16th at 0900.

He is survived by his three sons and their families:
