Deanna StJohn Obituary

Deanna St John went peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Deanna Kay Gordon was born in Paris, Texas on September 2. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and aunt. She was a soul that was full of sunshine and she loved to help others. She lived that out in her 25 years as a massage therapist. The lives that she touched and the people that she was able to help with their pain and healing through the years has been too many to number. The love of her clients has been overwhelming over the years. Deanna loved her family deeply, had a fun sense of humor and a love for movies. She could quote lines with the best of them, often spouting off lines as part of her everyday conversations. The Princess Bride and Shrek being some of her favorites. Her love for animals was evident in her wide range of pets that she had over the years. Deanna enjoyed being out in the garden and had an amazing talent for caring and growing plants. She enjoyed puzzles, word searches, painting, ceramics and had recently started diamond art. Giving gifts was something she loved as well. She always wanted others to feel special and loved.

Deanna is survived by her husband Jay St John, daughter DeVonna and son-in-law David, 5 granddaughters, Destiny, Dominique, Delaney, Deyona and Delilah, her son, Derrick, mother Merlene, step-mother Billie and sisters Donna, brother-in-law Tom, sister Celesa and brother-in-law Guy, niece Cheyenne, nephew Montana, sister Dana, nieces Chelsea and Emily, brother-in-law Gary St John and his wife Jane. She is preceded in death by her father, Don Gordon, step-father Lee McKague and sister, Ashley Farmer.

We are beyond heartbroken at the loss of her and we have a tough emotional road ahead as we would have loved more time, but we are grateful her battle with pain has come to an end. Today we celebrate her life. A life that was well lived, full of beautiful places and adventures. As well as the impact of love and healing she had on so many. We will miss her beautiful smile and the joy and laughter she brought to our lives. She was a gifted soul and we are grateful to have had her in our lives. Our hope is in her confession of faith that she was a repented sinner and believed in Jesus as her Lord and savior.
