David Nathaniel Henson, of Hurst, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at the age of 37.

David was born on August 5, 1986, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended schools in the Birdville school district growing up and attended Legacy Church of Christ.

Upon graduating high school, David began his lengthy career in food and hospitality at Yellowstone, WY at the Roosevelt Lodge for the summer. He was encouraged to continue in this career by the head chef at his next job at the Great Wolf Lodge, to attend Le Cordon Bleu in Dallas, which he did and graduated in 2010 with an Associate's Degree. 

David remained active outdoors when he had the opportunity. He enjoyed golfing, skateboarding or snowboarding. He mostly loved to spend time reading, listening to music, and was always appreciative of art and was very creative. More than anything, David loved to spend time with his precious son, Jon. 

David was a loving son, father, and dear friend to many. His caring spirit, infectious laugh, and loving smile will be deeply missed by everyone who had to opportunity to know and love him. His giving Christian heart will be missed most of all.

He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, T.F. and Penny Henson of Dublin, TX; Maternal Grandparents, Arthur and Jo Rae Compton of Bunyan, TX; Maternal Uncle and Aunt, Joe and Jamie Templeton of College Station, TX.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Jonathan Henson; Parents, Don Henson and Vicki Henson; Paternal Aunt and Uncle, Jon and Lois Henson of Dublin, TX; Paternal Cousins, Jonathan Henson and Toby Henson; Maternal Cousins, John Templeton and Rachel Dumas; Special friends, Jan and Chelsea Hamilton of Keller, TX and a host of extended family and great friends.
