Corey Overcash Obituary

We remember Corey Overcash, born on August 17, 1990, and who departed from us on December 14, 2023.

Corey's journey unfolded with a profound commitment to service, as he dedicated over 10 years of his life to the United States Army. Multiple deployments in support of The Global War on Terror and invaluable contributions on the United States-Mexico border showcased his unwavering dedication to the greater good.

Yet, his story didn't end with military service. Corey envisioned a life of continued purpose and found it in the vibrant hues of CertaPro Painters. Becoming a business owner fulfilled a childhood dream, seamlessly blending his love for service with the transformative artistry of home improvement. His joy in the social interactions with customers mirrored the camaraderie he cherished in the Army.

Corey's heart beat for community, and he aspired to make a significant impact in the lives of those around him. His passion for serving veterans, first responders, and teachers reflected a deep commitment to the well-being of those who make our communities strong.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Corey reveled in the simple joys of life. Golfing, skiing, hiking—the great outdoors were his playground. His love for historical fiction spoke to a curious mind, always seeking knowledge. Yet, amidst all these, his golden retriever, Ava, held a special place, embodying the loyalty and love that defined Corey's own character.

Today, as we bid farewell to a son, a soldier, and a compassionate entrepreneur, let us carry forward Corey's legacy. Let his spirit of service, passion for community, and zest for life be our guiding light. May his memory inspire us to reach out to one another, to uplift those in need, and to appreciate the beauty in every stroke of life's canvas.

Corey is survived by his mother, Michelle Brumble Overcash, his father Gregory Mark Overcash and wife Melissa Overcash. His eldest brother Cody Overcash, wife Aryn Overcash and their sons, Colton and Christian Overcash. His youngest sister Meagan Overcash, Grandmother Joey Bosley, and step siblings Laura Musick, Reilly Musick and Madison Simoneaux. Along with loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.

In addition to family, Corey had an incredibly deep love and passion for friends, associates and most everyone he met with a drive and desire to make them smile.
