Connie Farrell passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Connie was born in Neosho County, KS to Howard and Agusta Warren. The family later relocated to Plainfield, IN, where Connie met the love of her life, Ivan Farrell, on a blind date. They were married for 68 years. Together, they journeyed from Indianapolis to Evansville, and then back to Indianapolis to raise their sons. Later, they moved to Morganton, NC, and eventually settled in Stephenville, TX, where they lived for 35 years before moving to Bedford, TX.
Connie had a diverse and fulfilling career while raising two amazing sons with her husband Ivan. She began by working in customer service for Indiana Bell for approximately 8 years, and then served as a secretary for the Principal at Ben Davis High School for another 8 years. Later, she pursued her education as a medical transcriptionist, she was a semester away from graduating and was on track to be valedictorian of her class before her husband, Ivan, was transferred to Stephenville. In Stephenville, she began her professional career as a medical transcriptionist at Stephenville Medical Surgical Clinic and later transferred to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville until her retirement. Connie's love for nature was only surpassed by her love for her family, to whom she devoted herself wholeheartedly. She was the spiritual leader of the family and the ultimate example of a humble servant of God. Connie was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Stephenville and later in Hurst as her health allowed.
Connie was preceded in death by her son, Mark Farrell, her sister, Dorothy Wittorff, and her brother, Orland "JR" Warren.
She is survived by her husband, Ivan Farrell, her son, Mike Farrell, daughters-in-law Lisa and Kim Farrell, sister Millie Hammond, sister-in-law Marge Warren, grandchildren Brian Farrell, Rachel (Ben) Selby, Paul (Valerie) Farrell, Sarah Farrell, Michelle Farrell, Courtney (Troy) Webb, and six great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be at 10:00 am – 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Hurst, TX followed by Funeral service at 11:00 am on Monday, January 13.
Burial will be at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless, TX at 1:30 pm on the same day.
