Charles Allen Hamilton

Following a lengthy battle with cancer, Charles Allen Hamilton of Bedford, Texas passed away on December 25, 2022 at the age of 60. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, DeLaine; daughter TerraLaine (Blake Whitlow); son Bryce; granddaughter EvanLaine; brother Gary (Johnette); and sister Nina (Thomas). He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Pat and Eugene Hamilton.

Charles was a 1991 graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in civil engineering, and later went on to obtain his PE certification. His professional career was highlighted by his work at DFW airport developing and implementing runway friction testing, followed by his service working for several Texas public school districts directing facilities maintenance.  

Charles was a very passionate man, and gave 100% to everything and everyone he loved. He was best known for his passions in hunting and fishing, his family (especially being “Major” to his granddaughter), but most importantly his passion for Christ. Charles was a deacon in his church at First Baptist Colleyville, and taught a Sunday school class amongst some of his closest friends.

A visitation for Charles will be held on Thursday, December 29 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Forest Ridge Funeral Home, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 30 at 10:00 am in the chapel at First Baptist Church of Colleyville. A burial service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
