Catherine Gosart Obituary

Catherine Louise Gosart (Carr), 73, of Keller TX, passed peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Catherine was born January 18, 1950 to Lyle Vincent Carr and Emily Esther (Letson) Carr (later re-married to Anthony Iannone). She was predeceased by her mother, father, and step-father, and her baby sister Terri Lee Iannone, and her husband of 47 years, Brian Charles Gosart. She is survived by her brother Lyle Carr and his wife Marion Carr of NY, her sister Tonilynn E. Atzin-Ortega of MO, and her sister Mary A. Iannone-Walker and her husband Derrick Walker of CO. Also surviving are her four sons and 3 daughter-in-laws, David Edward Gosart & Shannon Gosart of TX, Michael Charles Gosart & Kim Gosart of WA, Stephen Vincent Gosart & Rebecca Gosart of TX, and Timothy Wesley Gosart of TX, and 10 grandchildren, Dylin Gosart, Autumn Gosart, Braydin Gosart, Daisy Gosart, Devin Gosart, Lukasz Gosart, Grace Matthews, Faith Gosart, Mercy Gosart, and Gideon Gosart, and seven nieces and nephews with eleven great nieces and great nephews.

Catherine was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. She loved The LORD Jesus and encouraged younger women to remain faithful in their walk with Jesus. Catherine attended First Baptist Church of Keller, Texas for over 35 years. She was in the ladies Sunday School class and remained in faithful attendance until her health started to decline. In her personal time she loved writing cards and encouraging other people, she had a love for books and was often found reading, she enjoyed painting, and playing computer card games. She occasionally loved going to Winstar and enjoying a weekend with her husband, Brian Gosart. Her sons and grandchildren were the light of her life and brought her much joy over the years. She delighted in watching the grandkids play with toys and loved to play card games or board games with them. She loved anything and everything to do with butterflies. When Catherine was younger her nickname was Kitty. That was only fitting as her and Brian always had kittens or cats that they cared for in their home. She loved her parakeets over the years and named each one “Sunshine”. Catherine is dearly loved and will be missed by so many whose lives she has impacted over the years.

Her funeral will be held at First Baptist Church of Keller, Texas on May 4, 2023 at 10:00am. She will have a final resting place in the United States National Cemetery, DFW TX next to her husband, Brian Gosart.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
