Dr. Brad Thigpen, beloved husband, father, and friend passed away on February 25, 2021. He was 51 years old and lived in Fort Worth, TX. Brad was born in Temple, TX, on April 13, 1969. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing in the great outdoors, Texas Rangers baseball, and his beloved Texas Longhorns.
Brad grew up in Waco, TX. He was a strong student and knew from a young age that he wanted to be a doctor. Brad graduated from Midway High School and received his Undergraduate Degree from the University of Texas in Austin. After medical school in Iowa, Brad landed in Fort Worth for his continued training. Following a fellowship in Jackson, MS, Brad returned to Fort Worth to establish his practice and his home. Brad loved good food, sports, live music, and traveling with friends and family.
As an accomplished and specialized physician, Dr. Thigpen was known for his breadth of knowledge and expertise among his peers. He was acclaimed in his field with many awards and publications, but patient relationships were his proudest work. Dr. Thigpen was compassionate and humble in his care of mother and child. He cherished the friendships carried forward from the maternity ward and their unique blessings upon his life. Dr. Brad loved babies and he was honored to deliver so many throughout his career.
Brad is survived by his wife, Mandy Thigpen; His Children: William Thigpen, Chloe Plume, Jacob Plume; Father: Davis D. Thigpen and wife Cheri; Mother: Charlotte Roberts; Siblings: Steve K. Thigpen and wife Tracy, Angie Rodriguez and husband Ramon, Kaci Walls and fiancé Brett, Bric Walls and wife Erin, Alex Walls and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Private Service is to be held March 13, 2021 for Family and Invited guests.
