Hurst, Texas - Billy Gene Parker 85 was a loving faithful Husband to his Wife Noy and a devoted Father to his four children William, Herman, Daphne and Margaret. By the grace of God, he passed peacefully surrounded by his family after a short battle with brain cancer on Dec 20, 2020.
Billy Gene Parker was born to Ellen and Winfield Parker in Duncan, Oklahoma. Billy Gene Parker honorably served in both the Army and Air Force. It was when he was stationed in Nicaragua that he fell in love with his Wife Noy. Billy and Noy married on June 10th, 1961 and moved to Fort Worth, Texas where they raised a family of two boys and two girls. Billy and Noy were married 59 years. Billy taught his children to be hard workers, faithful, humble and above all, devoted Christians. His proudest achievement was graduating from Texas Wesleyan College Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree of Business Administration in 1976. He devoted his entire career to working at Bell Helicopter. Billy Gene was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan and died at the end of a Cowboys game on Sunday that he was watching with all his children. His favorite hobby was sharing the joy of collecting vintage toys with his Son William.
Survivors: Wife Noy Parker, Children William Parker (Janice), Herman Parker (Natalie), Daphne Atchison (Dathan) and Margaret Thomson (Geoff). 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren and is also survived by his Sister Lois Kordis of Oklahoma.
He is preceded in Death by his Parents Ellen and Winfield, Sisters Edna Faye Parker and Juanita Fenimore. He is also preceded in death by his Grandson Anthony Parker.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 29th at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills, Texas
A private family Commital service will be held the following day at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
