Barbara Ann Maples

Barbara Ann Maples of Colleyville, Texas went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Moore Sr, Anna Lavada Moore, husband Ken Maples Sr. and son Ken Maples Jr and grandson Bobby Maples, brother Sonny Moore and sister Melva Joyce Martin. She is survived by her daughter Kelli Cheek and husband Bob Cheek, brother Jerry Moore and family, grandchildren Amanda Weikel, Andrea Weikel, Adam Weikel and Daniel Cheek, Zack Moyer and 8 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in North Richland Hills. Visitation will be October 9, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm. The memorial service will be October 10, 2020 at 11:00am. Graveside service to follow at 12:30pm at Bluebonnet cemetery in Colleyville.

Barbara loved to go on long road trips with no timetable or agenda. She loved to pamper and spoil the many dogs she owned over the years. She loved to shop for bargains as she was an avid collector of many things. She loved to spend time with her family surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to sing. In her youth she sang at church and even made a record with her sister. In her final years at the senior living community she would be right in the middle of any and all social events and discussions or gatherings. Barbara was a strong and confident woman. The people around her did not have to wonder how she felt, she had no problem expressing her position on the issues of the day. She will be missed by her family and multitude of friends.
