In Loving Memory of Barbara Ann Courtney

Barbara Ann Courtney (Brooks),66 a loving wife, mother, and Gigi went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family. Barbara was born in Paris, Texas to Fannie Meyers and Johnny Brooks on September 26th, 1955. She graduated high school at OD Wyatt in 1974. She later met and married her loving husband in Fort Worth on August 6th, 1976. She worked as a medical transcriptionist and was a full-time loving mother to her two sons Nick and Ryan until she retired in 2019 to be a full-time Gigi. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family who always enjoyed her enchilada pie and cheese squares.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Debbie Garner, and brother Jerry Brooks.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 46 years, Mike Courtney; sons Nick Courtney, Ryan Courtney, and wife Anna. Grandchildren; Bishop, Marleigh, and one on the way. And numerous extended family and friends.

The family would also like to especially thank the doctors, nurses, and care techs at Harris Methodist Fort Worth and Community Hospice who provided her care and compassion during her final days.
