Anne Marie Weaver was born on December 10th, 1959, along with her twin brother John (whom she is 5 minutes older than and reminded him often) to parents John Edward Weaver and Sarah Elizabeth Hood Weaver and resided in Oxon Hill, MD. Although she dealt with different hardships growing up, it didn’tstop her from becoming a standout student-athlete at Oxon Hill High School. She was an All-American volleyball player while also being a part of the National Honors Society. She was invited to participate at the US training camp for the Olympic volleyball team in which she became an alternate. She went on to play volleyball at the University of Maryland while also studying Reproductive Physiology/Genetics. After college, she worked at the local racetrack providing veterinary care and looking after the horses. While working there, she was introduced to her future husband, Russell, whom she would marry on October 26, 1981. Soon after the wedding, they moved to Naples, Italy where Rusty was stationed and started their lives together. Their shared love of traveling took them all over Europe experiencing different cultures and historical places. They returned to the states when Rusty was stationed in Norfolk, VA. That is where they started their family; first with David, then came Christopher, and lastly Brett. Anne dedicated her life to the support of her children. She became a full-time mother and entrenched herself into their activities whether it was sporting events, school, or taking them on road trips across the country exploring parks and caves. She never missed an opportunity to brag about her sons and loved to keep friends and family updated through her annual Christmas cards. Anne was a devoted Christian and attended church on a regular basis along with doing Bible study. She often credited God for saving her and relied on his love to bring her through all her many trials and tribulations, especially following the passing of her husband and later, her fiancée. She had a deep capacity to love and show affection for people, and that is why she will be deeply missed by so many.
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer – Romans 12:12
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 3:14
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healethall thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. - Psalms 103: 3-5
