Ann Taylor was born to Ralph and Opal Stroud on January 5th, 1951 in Galveston Texas, along with her identical twin sister Jan Degelia. She went to be with her lord on February 25th 2021, after a brave battle with a 5 month illness.

Ann was a performer and caregiver at heart. Throughout her early adulthood she appeared in TV commercials, talent competitions and many stage performances with her groups, JanAnnRay, Jan and Ann with Body and Soul and Talk of the Town. She had a beautiful voice that could captivate an audience. She loved to host and take care of all around her including her daughter Jessica, husband Ben and the children she worked with for the past 5 years at Grace E Hardeman Elementary School.
Ann was an active member in the Episcopal Church, most recently at St. Martin in the Fields in Keller, and previously at St. Stephens in Hurst and Good Samaritan in Dallas.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, and her brother and sister Tommy Stroud and Betty Jo Stroud.
She is survived by her Husband of 33 years Ben, her daughter Jessica Taylor, her siblings Jan Degelia, Bob Stroud and Richard Stroud, her step-children Ron and Tom Taylor and Sarah Bishop, 6 grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.
The Stroud and Taylor families would like to thank you for the love and support you have given us during this trying time. We appreciate you being a part of this celebration of her beautiful life.
